And...here we go!

1. Layers of cake, tulle, bacon, and cheese are irresistible to me.

2. It's important to have a close friend you can count on for insight.

3. I'd be willing to bet all of my dreams will come true...eventually.

4. I don't have one, so nothing scares the dog.



5. I'm fond of spending time with people who make me feel happy to be alive.



6. I talk about eating healthy, rock climbing, and my new body waaaaaaaaay too much!



7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to doing something fun in my favorite city, tomorrow my plans include travelling to St. Louis and Sunday, I want to not get into a fight with those crazy Prince of Peace Ushers!

1. Knowing the Chicago Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup feels great!!!!!!

2. The solution is easier to discover than to implement.

3. Alcohol never makes me fall asleep.

4. How about those Cub fans? They seriously never care if the Cubs don't win a baseball game.

5. Embracing life is something I highly recommend!

6. Imagine a perfect world in which you have everything you always wanted. Would you be happier than you are right now?

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to nothing, tomorrow my plans include taking a trip to Rockford and Sunday, I want to pack for my trip to St. Louis!

1. Fresh fruit-- the best food to take on a picnic.

2. Summer Lovin', had me a blast, Summer Lovin', happened so fast.

3. Some people should never ever wear flip flops.

4. To love someone is to put them before you.

5. When you want to get away, don't pay Southwest for an expensive plane ticket and also pay to check a bag, just take a long hike.

6. When I crave food, it's usually some sort of complex carb.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to going out for my friend's birthday (again), tomorrow my plans include nothing so far and Sunday, I want to hear my mom give her speech; they actually announced it on the radio!

1. Memories of childhood growing up with my friends never fails to make me smile.

2. I'm looking forward to this baseball game on Sunday. I hope PT and my parents get along well.

3. The whir of my loud ass laptop is what I'm listening to right now. Don't want to wake up anyone in the house with my loud music. Goodness I need to go back to Rockford where I don't have to worry about others in my household cause there is nobody but me and Belle.

4. Potato salad must have lots of veggies in it!

5. Vitner's crunchy hot curls (that's what we call them in the hood) was the best thing I ate today.

6. Today was the day I got my new blog template!!! Thanks so much Kaye!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to hanging out with my mom at my cousin's baby shower and describing the engagement ring I helped pick out, tomorrow my plans include coming up with an awesome science project for our mentor program's upcoming lock-in and Sunday, I want to have the best time ever at that baseball game!

And...here we go!

1. I just had to push my cat Belle off my lap so she would stop accidentally deleting things on my laptop, lol.

2. Love is... I used to save those cartoons from the newspaper. 

3. The third sentence on the 7th page of the book I'm reading: He was likewise a bitter prosecutor; as witness the Quakers, who have remembered him in their histories, and relate an incident of his hard severity towards a woman of their sect, which will last longer, it is to be feared, than any record of his better deeds, although these were many.

4. Any food with chocolate and/or bacon (yeah I said and/or on purpose) tickles my fancy.

5. I was walking around Wrigleyville last night meeting random strangers. Drunk bar hoppers are such fun.

6. Sometimes the weirdest thing makes me laugh!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to seeing that new Common/Queen Latifah movie with my mom, tomorrow my plans include nothing so far :(, and Sunday, I want to be of use again in Children's Church!

My First Friday Fill In!

So, in an effort to branch out into the blog community, I've picked up a few things from other blogs. This one is Friday Fill-Ins. Check it out and maybe put it on your own blog!




1. Salsa and guacamole are my two new favorite things to make in my Magic Bullet.


2. Wow, look at that hamburger! I see ketchup, barbecue sauce, mayonnaise, hot sauce and you've even got mustard.

3. By the time I get home ,I will have totally overstayed my welcome at my parents' house in Chicago.

4. Getting free samples of alcohol in that grocery store downtown on State Street is what I look forward to most when grocery shopping.

5. And I was dreaming that I had actually found a job and wouldn't have to resort to opening a wilderness store.

6. Falling asleep in the arms of someone you care about...is there anything else better?!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to catching up on all the shows I've missed on ABC, tomorrow my plans include maybe finally going back to Rockford and Sunday, I want to apply for more jobs! Did I mention I need a job?
