Friends
I have friends now, and they are good friends. I want to make sure that the friendships I'm building are lasting ones that I can really count on.
The qualities I want to make sure all my friends have include: trustworthiness, honesty, sense of humor, fun-loving, dependable, good, compassionate, family-oriented, and shared interests.
The qualities I want none of my friends to possess include: dishonesty, neediness, unreliable, mean, boring, selfish, and slow/unintelligent.
I know, I should just be looking for a good person. But what can I say? I have high standards for friendship. My friends are absolutely amazing and I don't want to accidentally add a bad apple to the bunch.
By the time I'm 30, I'd like to share an important bonding experience with each of my friends as a way to really let myself know we're true friends. Examples of this would be: helping the other person through a rough time, being a bridesmaid for a friend's wedding, becoming a godmother to a friend's child, or even taking a road trip together.
And more than just bonding, I think as friends, we'll have spent enough time getting to know each other that we will have a good grasp on basic facts. Middle names, birthdays, favorite foods etc. are examples of this. I'd like to be able to win one of those how-well-do-you-know-each-other game shows.
